Danielle Grant - Vote Danielle Grant or Auckland Council

I am seeking your vote as North Shore Councillor.

Auckland has lost its way. It’s never been in a more serious financial situation. You deserve a council that focuses on ratepayers’ needs.

Poor decision-making must stop. North Shore expects honest transport plans, safer town centres and reasonable rates bills.

We must manage housing growth, while protecting our heritage and improving our environment. We require quality housing design standards, sensible parking solutions and a stop to ad-hoc multi-story housing in areas without adequate infrastructure.

I’ve served nine years, leading the Kaipatiki Local Board (chair and deputy chair). I’ve championed community environmental projects, pollution prevention, investment into our sports clubs, protection of heritage, economic development and tight oversight on budgets.

I’m a member of the Institute of Directors, a Justice of the Peace, and school board trustee. I bring business acumen and governance experience.

I speak up for our community, focusing on the issues that matter to the North Shore: congestion, law and order, environment, housing growth, heritage and rates.

I’ll make decisions that will meaningfully improve the lives of our community.

I am running with the Communities and Residents (C&R) organisation. More information can be found here

Opening the new netball courts at Glenfield High School

11 May 2019 - Today’s opening of the new netball courts at Glenfield College provides the opportunity for our children to play netball in our own neighbourhood.

I have been working on this project for a number of years to bring together the partnership of the Kaipatiki Local Board, Netball North Harbour and Glenfield College.

There are 22 teams for six local schools participating in the Glenfield Junior Netties competition.

Seeing the children, their families, coaches and
administrators enjoying these facilities couldn’t make
me prouder. This is what motivates me to bring our
community together.
